FAKTOR SPESIFIK YANG MENENTUKAN KINERJA PERUSAHAAN ASURANSI YANG TERDAFTAR DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA Abstraksi / Abstracts:
This research aim to analyze the factors that determine insurance performance. The sample used in thisstudy is the insurance companies which is listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) period 2003 to 2012. The independent variable in this study are age, size, tangibility, leverage, loss ratio, liquidity, premium growth while the dependent variable is financial performance. By using purposive sampling, total of sample in this study are 11 of insurance companies. This statistical method used multiple regression analysis that support by E-views 7. The results of regression analysis show that size have a positive statistical effect and leverage have a negative statistical effect on financial performance. But, age, tangibility, liquidity, loss ratio and premium growth have no statistical effecton financial performance. Managerial implications of the resultsof this study suggested that company managers should pay attention to leverage and firm size. The manager should reduce leverage and increase the company's assets by managing these assets efficiently, so as to create maximum profit and improve company performance.
